I haven't been very good about taking pictures or blogging lately. Life is just busy! Here are a few pics and things I want to remember about the boys right now.
Spring program at school. Jackson participated much better this time around (when he wasn't goofing off with his friend in the red shirt.)
Boys are so much fun. :-)
Kaley and Ryan
Cousins playing in G's bed.
Happy Mother's Day Aunt Anne and G.
YUM!
This was a rare morning when we were actually ready for church early so I snapped a picture.
| My three favorite boys in the whole wide world!

He seems to be very curious (and often worried) about certain things.
- Elevators - he has improved greatly here but he went through a phase where he was paranoid of elevators and would scream if anyone touched any of the buttons for fear something bad would happen
- Fire/tornadoes/hail/lightening, etc- he has probably asked 100 questions about these things. When is our house going to catch on fire? Will lightening hit me? Can a tornado pick up a person. When is a tornado going to hit our house? Non stop questions about this. He seems to be very concerned about something happening to us or the house.
- Beach - we are going to the beach soon and have been talking about it and he is very very concerned about all of the animals and fish and whether or not we will see them or they will get him, etc.
- Heaven- lots of questions about Heaven and what it is like and when you go, etc.
- Swim lessons - he is taking them soon and he is very concerned about what that will be like and what he will have to do
- Toilet - he made the toilet over flow the other day with so much toilet paper and now he is very concerned that it is going to do it every time. So now when he flushes he sticks his head down by the bowl and watches it go all the way down. Very sanitary.
For about 2 months now he has been asking me every night to pray that God would help him not dream about certain things. It is usually always a bear, lion, crocodile, snake and the green dinosaur daddy (this was a book we read and for some reason he does NOT like the green dinosaur daddy.) He cannot go to sleep if I don't pray that he won't dream about them.
He takes a nap about half of the time now. Some days I make him take a nap and others I leave it up to him. He has quiet time where he plays with toys in his room for a while whether he takes a nap or not. I think it's good for him to have some down time. If he decides to take a nap he gets into bed and goes to sleep. Believe it or not he actually does it a lot. I'm proud of him for being disciplined enough to actually do that.
He loves for me to lie down with him at night. We have our best talks and snuggles. It's pretty much the only time of day he slows down enough to be sweet. I asked him the other day if he was still going to let me lie down with him when he gets bigger like his cousin Brooksie and he told me that there wouldn't be enough room in the bed then. :-( He did say I could get on the top bunk though.
A few things I want to remember about Ryan at this age:
This boy is obsessed with mowers. Any time he hears a mower, blower, weed eater, etc. he starts saying, "mo mo" and "eee" (see.) He will not stop saying it until I take him outside to see it. We spend lots of time outside watching the mowers. Our next door neighbor is used to an audience. :-)
He recognizes when we are starting to pray and he insists that he holds our hands.
He is also obsessed with buses, rain, and planes. If he hears a bus he asks to go see it and won't stop til we run outside. Most of the time we get out there in time to see it. If he thinks he hears rain he says "ningning" and will say it over and over again. It rained a lot today and he was so happy to watch it from the porch for a long time. Now he recognizes and says thunder too.
He says "why" all the time. It's funny because it's this long drawn out "whyyyyyyy" and the corners of his mouth come back to make a funny look on his face when he says it. For example, when he hears a noise and says "mo mo" and I tell him it's not a mower just a noise outside, he will say,"whyyyyyyyy?"
He wants to buckle himself in the car seat now and loves to push the stroller.
He loves to sing and dance. His favorites are This Little Light of Mine, Twinkle, Twinkle, and Baby Jesus Grew and Grew. He often comes up to us and shakes his arms to tell us he wants to dance. We find music on the TV and he dances away. Neither one of our kids has any rhythm though.
Unfortunately, he is not a very affectionate little guy. I sometimes get snuggles when he is super tired. Other than that he is pretty independent. When you ask for a kiss he leans his head forward and usually gives you the top of his head or cheek to kiss.
I'm looking forward to a fun summer with my little guys!
