Here is Jackson first thing on Christmas morning - playing with his train set from Santa
And drinking the rest of Santa's milk...
Ryan enjoyed playing with the tissue paper.
Ryan had his 4 month appointment today. Here are his stats:
17 lbs, 10 oz (95th %)
25.8 inches (90th %)
BIG BOY! Unfortunately Ryan is a little sick right now and has an ear infection. :-( Uggghhh. I can't believe it's already starting. I'm betting he's going to have to get tubes like Jackson if he already has his first infection at 4 months. Ryan has a very stuffy nose that Dr. G is worried might turn into RSV so we are sucking his nose and using saline a lot. I'm just thankful that we are not traveling this holiday. Of course, Jackson is sick too. Pretty sure he's the one that got us all sick. I'm feeling pretty crummy myself.
Other than that Ryan is a very healthy little boy. We are so thankful for this!
Here's what Ryan is up to these days:
* Putting his hands in his mouth ALL the time
* Taking 3-4 naps a day (depending on their length) and eating every 2 1/2 - 4 hours. He's really able to go a good amount of time between feedings now.
* Starting to grab at things and pull towards his mouth
* Sitting up in Bumbo and exersaucer
* Not doing a lot during tummy time - no turning over yet
* Smiling, cooing, laughing, and just being a generally happy little guy
* Wearing size 6 - 9 months clothes
* Wearing size 3 diapers
* Going to bed between 7 and 8 p.m. and sleeping til 7 - 8 a.m. As mentioned in the earlier post he's sleeping much better at night and eating once later in the morning. The past two nights have had more waking because of the stuffy nose but that's to be expected.
* Kicks his legs like CRAZY in the bouncy seat - I think it's his favorite
I remember with Jackson it was around 4 months that I really started to think things got easier and I think it's the same with Ryan. This is the time when they start sleeping better, going longer between feedings, and just seem to be much happier. Yea!
It's been warm here so we took advantage of that and took the boys on a walk to see Christmas lights. This was Ryan's first time to sit in the stroller without the carseat. He seemed to enjoy it.
And for fun let's take a look at Jackson in his exersaucer at about 6 months
