House Divided

Our family is excited about football season!

Gig 'Em Aggies

Hook 'Em Horns

I think it's important to note that Jackson spit up right when I put the UT outfit on him. Since Laine is on his way to the football game right now I can write that without him erasing it! :-) So...this leads me to believe that he prefers the Aggies!

On another note....

Jackson will be 5 months in less than two weeks! He's doing great. Day care is getting a little easier but he is still not sleeping well during the day. If he would just take longer naps I'd be happy! Look for more pictures soon.

Happy Football Season from our house to yours.

First Day of School

Today was Jackson's first day of "school." It was not an easy day. Laine and I both went to drop him off and yes, there were a few tears. I received a call around 11:00 that he was not taking the bottle. I was not at all surprised because he has been doing this when anyone new feeds him. I went at lunch today to feed him and he was crying when I got there. It broke my heart. But he did end up taking the bottle this afternoon.

He only got about an hour of sleep. Poor thing! The teachers said most of the babies didn't sleep well because of the new setting and other babies around. We are just really hoping that Jackson adjusts and enjoys it at "school."

Here is a picture of Jackson with one of his teachers. If you look closely, you can see he has already spit up on her shoulder. That's our Jackson.

Cousin Emma Visits!!!

Jackson's cousin, Emma, came to visit him last week. We were so excited to meet her. Cousin Emma and her parents live in Alaska so this was our first time to meet her. She is just precious! Uncle Alex is in the Army and will deployed in September. We are very proud of him and his choice to serve our country.

Four Months Old!

Jackson is four months old! He is just so much fun these days. Here's what Jackson is up to:

  • Smiling all the time

  • Laughing

  • Sucking on his hands

  • Drooling

  • Sitting up with assistance

  • Rolling over - sometimes

  • Sitting in his high chair

  • Starting to grab at things and pull towards his mouth

  • Had his first cold

  • LOVES to be outside

  • LOVES his color book
  • Enjoys looking in the mirror

  • Several road trips - Austin, Houston, East Texas

  • Doing very well with the bottle

At his four month appointment Jackson weighed 14 lbs., 5 oz and is 25.3 inches long.

Jackson has had some special babysitters over the past two weeks. He wants to send a special thank you to each of them!

Thank you Jenny, Mumsy, Aunt Courtney, and Dada for watching me!

Looks like Colton is watching the bubbles and Jackson is watching Colton!

Jackson is finally able to ride in his stroller without the car seat. We haven't been able to take walks recently because it is just too hot for Jackson to be in the car seat in this heat. But now that he's able to sit without the car seat, we are back to our evening walks! Jackson LOVES to be outside and really enjoys our jogging stroller. As you can see, there is NO way he can fall out!

He was so relaxed that he decided to take a nap...

We met Jackson's day care teachers today. They seem great. He will start with them next week. We appreciate your prayers for a smooth transition.
