Summer Fun, Part II

We are continuing to have lots of fun this summer.  Here are a few updates!

First up, VBS!  Laine and I both volunteered at VBS so it was a family affair.  We all had a lot of fun.

I was so proud of Jackson.  He went on stage and sang several times.  He is my non-performer so I was happy he willingly went up front.

Jackson and his precious crew leader.

More time on stage.

And Ryan on stage.

We planted a container garden again this summer.  We've had tons of fresh herbs, a few tomatoes, cucumbers, and peppers.  We've also had some failures.  I'm hoping to actually do a garden in the ground next year.
Cucumbers!

Laine took the boys to the farm for a few days and on the say they stopped at Inner Space Cavern.  They had a great time.

Time at the farm!
Watching for deer.

Laine took the boys to Squeaks to pick a treat.  Laine has fond memories of going there while visiting his grandparents when he was a boy.  He's passing down the tradition!

Feeding the cows with G.

B.B. gun target shooting.

We've tried to beat the heat with a few indoor activities when possible this summer.
Bowling!

Lil Ninjas!  The boys loved going to this gym for a few hours to burn some energy.

Summer Fun, Part !

We've had a super fun summer so far!  We've done lots of swimming, reading, playing with friends, lego building, and traveling.  Here are a few pictures chronicling our adventures so far...

The boys found all the bugs (both dead and alive) in the pool drains and set up a bug hospital.

Fresh sand for the sand box!

Lego constructing.

Hawaiian Falls!!

Ice cream treats to celebrate the beginning of summer.

Mother son date night to Chick Fil A.

The boys were so polite and sweet.

Painting outside.

Three separate times this summer Jackson won 1000 tickets on this machine.  Once at Peter Piper's Pizza, once at Great Wolf Lodge, and once at Going Bonkers.  We need to take him to Vegas!

We took a family staycation to Great Wolf Lodge.  Lots of fun was had by us all.

Helping Daddy trim the trees.

We took a trip to see our friends, Connor and Kaitlynn.  We did lots of game playing, swimming and eating.

Then we went for a cousin visit!

The boys had lots of fun in Aunt Tin Tin's pool.

Bicycle Car Wash

Jackson lost two teeth in the matter of days.  (And then he lost that lost top one a week later.)

Fourth of July family time at the Frisco Athletic Center water park.

Ryan couldn't wait to do this slide.  He did it over and over again.  Jackson't didn't want to do it.  (Though the next time we went he did decide to do it.  Yay)

Mommy and Jackson selfie while we waited on Ryan and Daddy to come down.

Here comes Ryan!

A few little fireworks in the backyard.

Sparklers!
