Trying To Keep Busy

We are trying to stay busy around here. It is HOT outside and it is really getting to me! By the end of the day I have no ankles left and my feet are so swollen that it's painful to walk. I haven't been able to wear my rings on my ring finger in several weeks. These last 3 1/2 weeks are going to be tough. I'm trying to stay positive though because I know it's good for Ryan to keep cooking. I had a doctor appointment this week and she went ahead and checked me out since she will be out of town next week. She said I was "all closed up" so I don't think he's coming anytime soon. And of course he was head down. It figures that baby #2 would be in the right position. I am a little sad and nervous about having another c-section but I trust my doctor and am trying to have a positive outlook. It is nice to have something scheduled and already know what to expect. I'm just nervous about the recovery and trying to keep myself safe from my very busy and not so gentle toddler. He enjoys playing and jumping on his mommy and there is NO way he can do that for several weeks after I'm home. Laine is going to have a big job of keeping him entertained.



I got this special quilt in the mail this week from a friend I used to work with. Isn't it precious!?!

Jackson enjoying some ice cream in the car. We went to Denton to see sweet baby Sarah and there was a Dairy Queen across the street from the hospital so we HAD to stop. We cannot pass up a DQ since there isn't one right around here.

And here she is....sweet baby Sarah! What a special treat to get to hold her. Jim and Katherine are very proud! I have been receiving lots of texts with pictures of their sweet baby girl. It makes me smile to think how much they are already in love with her. It definitely made me excited for Ryan's arrival when I held her. She is just perfect.

I'm sure Jackson and I are doing some very important work here.

One of the things I really love about the library is that we get new books weekly and they keep him entertained for long periods of time in the car. I love to look back at him and see him looking at the books so seriously.

We have enjoyed many visits to the pool. Jackson likes to "take a break" and lie on the lawn chairs. I am at the point now though that the pool is not so much fun anymore. Thankfully, Laine enjoys taking Jackson so he has taken him several times and given me a break. Jackson is getting much more comfortable in the water and enjoying his pool visits a lot.
